How do I upload a droplet to DigitalOcean?

Uploading a Droplet to DigitalOcean

If you’re new to DigitalOcean, you’ll first need to create a account. Once you have an account, you can use the following instructions to upload a droplet.

1. Log in to your DigitalOcean account.

2. Click the “Droplets” button in the main navigation bar.

3. Click the “Create Droplet” button.

4. Enter the following information in the “Name” field:

  • Name your droplet whatever you want.
  • Select a region from the list.

5. Select a size for your droplet.

6. Your droplet will be created and will be displayed in the “Droplets” list.

7. To add a storage volume to your droplet, click the “Volumes” button in the “Droplets” list and select the “Add Volume” button.

8. Name your storage volume whatever you want. Select a size for your storage volume.

9. Click the “Add Volume” button.

10. Your storage volume will be added to your droplet and will be displayed in the “Volumes” list.

11. To add a network interface to your droplet, click the “Networks” button in the “Droplets” list and select the “Add Network” button.

12. Name your network interface whatever you want.

13. Select a size for your network interface.

14. Click the “Add Network” button.

15. Your network interface will be added to your droplet and will be displayed in the “Networks” list.

16. To add a storage device to your droplet, click the “Storage” button in the “Droplets” list and select the “Add Storage” button.

17. Name your storage device whatever you want.

18. Select a size for your storage device.

19. Click the “Add Storage” button.

20. Your storage device will be added to your droplet and will be displayed in the “Storage” list.

21. To add a compute node to your droplet, click the “Compute” button in the “Droplets” list and select the “Add Compute” button.

22. Name your compute node whatever you want.

23. Select a size for your compute node.

24. Click the “Add Compute” button.

25. Your compute node will be added to your droplet and will be displayed in the “Compute” list.

26. To add a security group to your droplet, click the “Security GroUPS” button in the “Droplets” list and select the “Add Security Group” button.

27. Name your security group whatever you want.

28. Select a security protocol for your security group.

29. Click the “Add Security Group” button.

30. Your security group will be added to your droplet and will be displayed in the “Security GroUPS” list.

31. To add a virtual host to your droplet, click the “Virtual Hosts” button in the “Droplets” list and select the “Add Virtual Host” button.

32. Name your virtual host whatever you want.

33. Select a size for your virtual host.

34. Click the “Add Virtual Host” button.

35. Your virtual host will be added to your droplet and will be displayed in the “Virtual Hosts” list.

36. To add a container to your droplet, click the “Containers” button in the “Droplets” list and select the “Add Container” button.

37. Name your container whatever you want.

38. Select a size for your container.

39. Click the “Add Container” button.

40. Your container will be added to your droplet and will be displayed in the “Containers” list.

41. To add a Droplet snapshot to your droplet, click the “Snapshots” button.

PRO TIP: Warning: Please be sure to follow the instructions carefully when uploading a droplet to DigitalOcean. Incorrectly uploading a droplet can result in data loss or corruption.
