How Do I Upsample an Image in Photoshop?

When it comes to image resolution, more is always better. That’s why, when you’re working with images in Photoshop, it’s often necessary to upsample them – that is, increase the number of pixels per inch.

There are a few different ways to upsample an image in Photoshop, but the best way is to use the “Image Size” dialog box. Here’s how:

1. Open the image you want to upsample in Photoshop.

2. Select “Image” from the top menu, then “Image Size” from the drop-down menu.

3. In the “Image Size” dialog box that appears, make sure the “Resample Image” checkbox is selected.

4. Enter a new value for “Pixels/Inch”. The higher the number, the more pixels will be added to your image, and the higher the resolution will be.

5. Click “OK” to apply the changes and upsample your image.

PRO TIP: When upsampling an image in Photoshop, it is important to note that the image quality will decrease the more you upsample. For example, if you upsample an image by a factor of 2, the quality will decreased by 50%.
