How Do I Use Coupons in WooCommerce?

Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 4:27 pm

WooCommerce coupons are a great way to offer discounts and incentives to your customers. They can be used to encourage customers to buy more, or to reward them for their loyalty. There are two ways to create coupons in WooCommerce:

1. Create a coupon code

To create a coupon code, go to WooCommerce > Coupons. Then, click on Add New. You will be able to enter your coupon code details here.

Coupon Data

Once you have entered your coupon code details, you will need to enter some additional information about the coupon. This includes the amount, type, expiry date, and usage limits. Be sure to enter this information carefully, as it will determine how the coupon can be used.

Usage Restrictions

The usage restrictions section is where you will determine how many times the coupon can be used, and by whom. You can also specify minimum and maximum spend amounts, and whether or not the coupon can be used in conjunction with other coupons.

PRO TIP: Please be aware that using coupons in WooCommerce can be tricky and may not work as intended. We recommend that you test coupons thoroughly before making them live on your site.

Email Restrictions

The email restrictions section is where you can specify which customer emails are eligible for the coupon. This is useful if you want to Target a specific group of customers with your coupon.

Product Restrictions

The product restrictions section is where you can specify which products the coupon can be used on. This is useful if you want to offer a discount on specific products, or exclude certain products from the discount.

Congratulations! You have successfully created a WooCommerce coupon.

Now that you know how to create a WooCommerce coupon, put your new skills to use!
