How do I use Google Cloud Text to Speech API?

Last updated on September 25, 2022 @ 8:21 pm

Google Cloud Text to Speech API is an easy-to-use text to speech API that allows developers to create voice applications that can read aloud text or user input. A few steps are necessary to get started using the API. First, create a project in the Google Cloud Platform Console. Next, create a TextToSpeechService object and set the desired language and voice.

PRO TIP: Warning: Google Cloud Text to Speech API is not intended for use in critical applications. This API should only be used for experimentation and testing purposes.

The next step is to create a SpeechRecognitionStream object and set the desired language and voice. Finally, set the recognition rate and start the stream. Once the stream is started, you can use the SpeechRecognitionStream object to capture user input and convert it to text.
