The Path Tool is one of the essential tools in Photoshop. It allows you to create, edit, and manipulate paths and vector shapes. In this article, we will show you how to use the Path Tool in Photoshop.

First, you need to select the Path Tool from the Tools palette.

Once you have selected the Path Tool, you will notice that the options bar changes. You can now choose to create a new path, or edit an existing one.

If you want to create a new path, simply click on the canvas where you want to start drawing your path. Then, click and drag to draw your path. As you move your mouse, you will see that a path is being created.

If you want to edit an existing path, simply click on the path with the Path Tool. You will then see anchor points appear on the path. These anchor points can be moved to change the shape of the path.

You can also add new anchor points to an existing path by clicking on the path with the Path Tool and then clicking where you want to add a new anchor point.

PRO TIP: The Path Tool in Photoshop can be used to create a path around an object. However, if you are not careful, you can end up with a path that is not very accurate. If you are not happy with the path you have created, you can always use the Undo command (Ctrl+Z) to go back and try again.

To delete an anchor point, simply click on it with the Path Tool and press delete.

You can also use the Direct Selection Tool to edit paths. The Direct Selection Tool is found in the same tool palette as the Path Tool.

To use it, simply select it and then click and drag on an existing path to select specific anchor points. You can then move these anchor points to change the shape of the path.

The Direct Selection Tool can also be used to add new anchor points to an existing path. To do this, simply click on the path with the Direct Selection Tool and then click where you want to add a new anchor point.

To delete an anchor point with the Direct Selection Tool, simply select it and press delete.
