How Do Plugins Work in Figma?

Last updated on September 29, 2022 @ 11:15 am

Plugins in Figma mirror the way they work in other design software. By using plugins, designers can extend the functionality of Figma, allowing them to automate tasks or add new features.

To use a plugin in Figma, simply select the plugin from the menu bar and then click on the ‘Install Plugin’ button. Once the plugin is installed, it will appear in the ‘Plugins’ menu. To use the plugin, simply select it from the menu and then follow the instructions on screen.

Most plugins are free to use, however, some premium plugins may require a subscription. When installing a premium plugin, you will be prompted to enter your payment details. Once you have entered your payment information, the plugin will be unlocked and you can use it without restriction.
