Last updated on September 23, 2022 @ 3:53 pm

In this Photoshop tutorial, we will be discussing how to add some basic effects to your photos. Effects can be used to change the look of your photo, give it an artistic flair, or to make it more interesting to look at. In this tutorial, we will be covering the following effects:

– Hue/Saturation
– Brightness/Contrast
– Sharpen
– Blur

The first effect we will be discussing is Hue/Saturation. Hue/Saturation can be used to change the color of a photo. To do this, open the Hue/Saturation dialog box by clicking on the Hue/Saturation button in the Adjustments panel. In the Hue/Saturation dialog box, click on the color square next to the input field and then click on the color you want to change the hue of.

Next, click on the Saturation button to increase the saturation of the color. Finally, click on the Lightness button to decrease the lightness of the color.

The next effect we will be discussing is Brightness/Contrast. Brightness/Contrast can be used to adjust the brightness and contrast of a photo. To do this, open the Brightness/Contrast dialog box by clicking on the Brightness/Contrast button in the Adjustments panel.

PRO TIP: Adding effects to photos in Photoshop can be a great way to make your photos more unique and interesting. However, it is important to be careful when adding effects to photos, as too much of an effect can ruin the photo. When adding effects to photos, it is best to keep the effect subtle, so that it enhances the photo without taking away from it.

In the Brightness/Contrast dialog box, click on the brightness slider and then click on the darkness slider to adjust the brightness of the photo. Next, click on the contrast slider and then click on the clarity slider to adjust the contrast of the photo.

The next effect we will be discussing is Sharpen. Sharpen can be used to sharpen the image. To do this, open the Sharpen dialog box by clicking on the Sharpen button in the Adjustments panel. In the Sharpen dialog box, click on the Sharpen setting and then click on the Sharpen Amount button to adjust the sharpen amount.

Next, click on the Sharpen Edge button to sharpen the edges of the photo. Finally, click on the OK button to close the Sharpen dialog box.

The last effect we will be discussing is Blur. Blur can be used to blur the image. To do this, open the Blur dialog box by clicking on the Blur button in the Adjustments panel. In the Blur dialog box, click on the Blur setting and then click on the Blur Amount button to adjust the blur amount.

Next, click on the Gaussian Blur button to blur the image using a Gaussian blur. Finally, click on the OK button to close the Blur dialog box.
