Transitions are the effects that happen when you move from one slide to the next in your presentation. They can be simple, like a fade-in or fade-out, or more complex, like a spinning 3D cube. You can add transitions between slides in your presentation using Squarespace.

To add transitions between slides:

  1. Open the presentation in which you want to add transitions.
  2. Click the Transitions tab at the top of the window.
  3. Click the Slide Sorter button in the Transitions tab.
  4. Click the slide that you want to apply a transition to.
  5. Click the Apply To All button in the Timing group.
  6. Under Advance Slide:

    • Select the After: check box, and then enter the number of seconds that you want elapse before moving to the next slide.

    1. Click Ok. The number of seconds that you entered appears under Advance Slide.

PRO TIP: Please be aware that adding transitions in Squarespace can be a complex process. If you are not familiar with HTML and CSS, we recommend that you seek out professional help.

    Transition Effects

    1. With your slide selected, click on the dropdown arrow next to Transition Effect and choose your desired effect. You can preview what each effect looks like by hovering your mouse over it.

    Sound Effects

    1. If you want your transition to have an associated sound effect, select a sound from the dropdown menu next to Sound.

    Conclusion:
Adding transitions in Squarespace is easy and can make your presentation more dynamic and interesting for your audience. By using the Slide Sorter button in the Transitions tab, you can apply transitions to all slides or just individual slides. You can also control how long each transition lasts and whether or not there is a sound effect associated with it.
