If you’re interested in creating animations using Photoshop, there are a few things you should know. In this article, we’ll cover the basics of how to animate in Photoshop.

First, you’ll need to create your animation as individual frames. To do this, you can either use existing images or create new ones specifically for your animation.

If you’re starting with existing images, you’ll need to open each one in its own layer in Photoshop. If you’re creating new images, you can simply create each frame on its own layer.

Once you have all of your frames created, you’ll need to add them to a timeline. To do this, go to Window > Timeline.

PRO TIP: If you are not experienced with Photoshop, animating can be a difficult and time-consuming task. There are many tutorials available online, but be aware that some of them may be out-of-date or not applicable to your version of Photoshop.

This will open the Timeline panel where you can create a new animation. Simply click the “Create Frame Animation” button and your animation will be created.

Now that your animation is created, you can add any desired effects by choosing from the various options in the Timeline panel. For example, you can change the frame rate or add transitions between frames.

Once you’re happy with your animation, it’s time to export it. Go to File > Export > Save for Web (Legacy).

In the resulting dialog box, select the format you want to export your animation as and then click Save. That’s all there is to animating in Photoshop!
