How Do You Delete EXIF Data in Photoshop?

When you take a photo, your camera records a range of information about the image, such as the date and time it was taken, the exposure settings, and the GPS location. This data is known as EXIF data, and it can be really useful when you’re trying to organize your photos.

However, there are also some privacy concerns surrounding EXIF data. If you share a photo online, anyone can view the EXIF data and potentially find out where it was taken. Or if you post a photo of someone without their permission, they could use the EXIF data to track you down.

So how do you delete EXIF data in Photoshop? It’s actually pretty easy. Just follow these steps:

PRO TIP: When attempting to delete EXIF data in Photoshop, it is important to note that this will only work if the file is in the native .PSD format. If the file has been saved in any other format (e.g. .JPEG, .TIFF, etc.), the EXIF data will not be deleted and will remain embedded in the file.

1. Open the image in Photoshop. 2. Go to File > File Info. 3.

In the “File Properties” section, scroll down to the “Camera Data” section and click “Remove Properties and Personal Information.” 4. Click “Remove All” to confirm that you want to remove the EXIF data. 5. Save the image.

And that’s all there is to it! Now your image will no longer contain any sensitive EXIF data that could be used to track you down or invade your privacy.
