Sepia tone is a photo effect that gives your image an old-fashioned look. It’s named after the brownish-black color of the ink used in early photography. Sepia tone is often used to give photos a vintage look.

PRO TIP: Sepia tone is a brownish color that is often used in photography. It can be achieved through Photoshop by adding a brown color to the image. However, too much brown can make the image look muddy, so it is important to be careful when adding sepia tone to an image.

To create a sepia tone effect in Photoshop 7, open your image and go to Image > Adjustments > Hue/Saturation. In the Hue/Saturation dialog box, check the Colorize box and drag the Saturation slider to the right until you’re happy with the effect. Then click OK.
