How do you draw a flow arrow in Figma?

Last updated on September 24, 2022 @ 6:44 pm

Figma is a great tool for illustrating flows between elements. Flow arrows can be easily created in Figma by selecting the element you want to create the arrow for, and then clicking the Flow arrow button in the toolbar. The arrow will be positioned at the point where the flow between the elements begins and will be sized to fit the element it is drawn on. To create a flow arrow that flows away from the selected element, click the Flow arrow button and then drag it away from the element.

PRO TIP: When drawing flow arrows in Figma, be sure to start and end the arrow on the same layer. If you start the arrow on one layer and end it on another, the arrow will not be visible.

To create a flow arrow that flows towards the selected element, click the Flow arrow button and then drag it towards the element. To change the direction of the arrow, click the arrowhead icon on the Flow arrow button. To change the size of the arrow, drag the arrowhead icon. To remove the arrow, click the X icon next to the arrow.
