How Do You Edit a Map on Wix?

Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 5:54 am

If you want to edit a map on Wix, there are a few different ways you can go about it. You can use the Wix Map Editor, which is a visual editor that lets you customize your map by adding and removing locations, changing colors and styles, and adding markers and labels.

Or, if you’re comfortable working with code, you can edit your map directly in the HTML code of your site. To do this, go to the “Edit” page for your site, click on the “Add/Edit Code” button, and then find the code for your map.

GREAT NEWS:

Exciting update! We've collaborated with Wix to offer WBI users with a free plan for all website creation needs - Explore the details here.

PRO TIP: If you are not familiar with HTML or the Wix platform, do not attempt to edit a map on Wix. You could inadvertently break the code and cause the map to malfunction.

Once you’ve found the code for your map, you can make changes to it directly. For example, if you want to change the color of your map, you can find the “style” attribute in the code and then change the value of the “color” property.

If you want to add or remove locations from your map, you can do so by editing the “locations” array in the code. To add a new location, simply add a new object to the array with the relevant information (latitude and longitude coordinates, name, etc.). To remove a location, simply delete the object from the array.

Once you’ve made all of the changes you want to make to your map, simply save the code and refresh your site to see the changes.
