How Do You Find Out What Squarespace Template a Website Is Using?

Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 6:56 am

There are a few ways to find out which Squarespace template a website is using. One way is to inspect the source code of the website. If you view the source code, you will see a line that says “templateID.”

PRO TIP: If you are considering using the Squarespace platform for your website, it is important to be aware that there is no surefire way to find out which template a Squarespace website is using. While there are some methods that may give you a general idea, such as looking at the source code of a page or inspecting the CSS, these will not always provide accurate information. Additionally, Squarespace regularly updates and changes their templates, so even if you are able to identify a particular template today, it may be different tomorrow. For these reasons, it is best to consult with a Squarespace expert before making any decisions about which template to use for your website.

The number that is next to “templateID” is the template ID for that website. Another way to find out which template a website is using is to look at the URL of the website. If the URL has /template/ followed by a number, that number is the template ID.

If you want to find out more information about a specific template, you can go to Squarespace’s Template Gallery and search for the template ID. The Template Gallery will provide you with a description of the template, as well as information about which features are included in the template.
