How do you get app icons on Figma?

Last updated on September 24, 2022 @ 7:11 pm

In this article, we will show you how to get app icons on Figma. First, you will need to create a new project in Figma. You can name it whatever you like, but we suggest using the name “My App”. Once you have created the project, you will need to open the “Layouts” tab and create a new “Icon Layout”.

You will need to give the layout a name, and then you will need to select the “Icons” tab. You will then need to click on the “Create New Icon” button and select the “App Icon” file from your project’s “Assets” folder. You will then need to fill in the required information, and then click on the “Create Icon” button. You will then need to save the icon layout, and you will be ready to use it in your project.

Now that you have created your app icons, you will need to add them to your project. To do this, you will need to open the “Layers” tab and select the “Icon” layer. You will then need to click on the “Add” button and select the icon layout you just created from your project’s “Layers” folder.

PRO TIP: When creating an icon in Figma, be aware that there is no built-in “snap to grid” feature. This means that your icon may not line up perfectly with other icons on your canvas, or with objects in your design. If precise alignment is important, you’ll need to adjust the position of your icon manually.

You will then need to fill in the required information, and then click on the “Add Layer” button. You will then need to repeat these steps for each icon you want to use in your project.

Finally, you will need to add a “Launch Screen” to your project. To do this, you will need to open the “Screens” tab and select the “Launch Screen” layer. You will then need to click on the “Add” button and select the “App Icon” file from your project’s “Assets” folder.

Now that you have added all of your icons and launch screens, you will need to create a “Launch Screen” for your project.

Congratulations, you have now added app icons and launch screens to your project!.
