Adobe Photoshop is a raster graphics editor developed and published by Adobe Inc. for macOS and Windows. Photoshop was created in 1988 by Thomas and John Knoll. Since then, it has become the de facto industry standard in raster graphics editing.

So how do you get Photoshop on a Mac for free? There are a few ways:

1. Use Adobe Creative Cloud

Adobe Creative Cloud is a subscription service that gives you access to all of Adobe’s creative applications, including Photoshop. You can sign up for a free trial, which gives you access to all the features of the Creative Cloud for 7 days.

PRO TIP: When looking for Photoshop on a Mac for free, be aware that there are many scams and fake programs out there. Be sure to only download Photoshop from a trusted source, such as the Adobe website.

2. Use Adobe Photoshop Elements

Adobe Photoshop Elements is a cheaper, consumer-level alternative to Photoshop CC. It has most of the same features as Photoshop CC, but it’s not as comprehensive or powerful. However, it’s a great option if you’re just starting out with photo editing.

3. Use GIMP

GIMP is a free and open-source alternative to Photoshop that has many of the same features as Photoshop. It’s available for macOS, Windows, and Linux.

Adobe Creative Cloud is the best way to get Photoshop on a Mac for free.
