How Do You Make a Diagram in Figma?

Last updated on September 28, 2022 @ 10:47 pm

Figma is a vector-based design tool that is becoming increasingly popular among web and interface designers. While it is similar to other vector software like Adobe Illustrator, Figma has some unique features that make it ideal for web and screen design.

One of those features is the ability to easily create diagrams. In this article, we’ll show you how to make a diagram in Figma.

Creating a diagram in Figma is simple. First, create a new frame by clicking the “+” icon in the left sidebar.

PRO TIP: Please be aware that Figma is a design tool and not a diagramming tool. While you can create simple diagrams in Figma, it is not meant for complex diagramming. If you try to create a complex diagram in Figma, it will likely be very difficult to use and may not function as intended.

Then, select the “Rectangle” tool from the toolbar at the top of the screen. With the Rectangle tool selected, click and drag to draw a rectangle on your canvas. To add more shapes to your diagram, simply select the desired tool from the toolbar and click and drag to draw on your canvas.

Once you have added all of the shapes you want to your diagram, you can start connecting them with lines. To do this, select the “Line” tool from the toolbar.

Then, click on one shape and drag to another shape to connect them with a line. You can also add arrowheads to lines by clicking on the line and then selecting the “Arrowhead” option from the right sidebar.

That’s all there is to it! With just a few clicks, you can easily create diagrams in Figma.
