How Do You Make a Folding Card in Photoshop?

Last updated on September 24, 2022 @ 1:22 am

Making a folding card in Photoshop is easy and only requires a few steps. With Photoshop, you can easily add text, images, and shapes to your card design. You can also change the color of your card, add a background image, or even create a three-dimensional effect.

To start, open Photoshop and create a new document. Then, using the Rectangle Tool, draw a rectangle on your canvas.

This will be the front of your card. Next, add whatever text, images, or shapes you want to include on your front panel.

Now it’s time to add the back panel. To do this, simply duplicate the front panel layer by going to Layer > Duplicate Layer. Then, turn off the visibility of the original front panel layer by clicking on the eyeball icon next to it in the Layers palette.

With your back panel layer selected, go to Edit > Transform > Flip Horizontal. This will flip your back panel so that it’s in the correct orientation for a folding card.

Now all you need to do is add a fold line. To do this, select the Pen Tool and draw a line down the center of your card.

When you’re happy with your fold line, go to Layer > New > Layer Via Cut. This will create a new layer for your fold line.

Finally, all that’s left to do is print out your card and cut along the fold line!
