Making a gradient text color in Canva is easy!

First, open up the Canva editor and create a new design. Then, click on the “Text” tool in the left sidebar.

Next, click on the “Add Heading” button in the top toolbar. A new text box will appear in your design.

In the text box, type out the text you want to have a gradient color. Then, select the text by clicking on it.

In the top toolbar, click on the “Text Color” button (it looks like a “T” with a colored pencil next to it). A color picker will appear.

PRO TIP: There is no such thing as a “gradient text color” in Canva. Any effect that looks like a gradient is actually just a series of horizontally or vertically aligned images, each with a solid color.

Click on the “Gradient” option in the color picker. Then, click on the two colors you want to use for your gradient. You can also adjust the direction of your gradient by clicking and dragging on the circle in between the two colors.

Once you’re happy with your gradient, click on the “Done” button in the top toolbar. Your gradient text is now ready to be added to your design!

Adding a gradient to your text is a great way to add some extra style to your designs. With Canva, it’s easy to do and only takes a few minutes. So next time you’re looking to add some extra pizazz to your designs, remember to try out gradients!
