How Do You Make a Map in Canva?

There are a few steps to take in order to make a map in Canva. First, you’ll need to create a new Canva account or log in to an existing one.

Once you’re logged in, click on “Create a design” and then select “Custom dimensions.” Enter in the width and height of your desired map. For this example, we’ll use 8″ x 10″.

Next, you’ll need to choose a background. For maps, we recommend using a solid color or a simple pattern. Once you’ve selected your background, click on “Add an element” and then “Uploads.”

Here, you can upload any icons or images that you want to include on your map. If you don’t have any icons or images handy, no worries! Canva has a huge library of free photos and illustrations that you can use.

Once you have your icons and images uploaded, it’s time to start adding them to your map. Simply click and drag them into place.

You can also use the “Resize” and “Rotate” tools to get everything just perfect. If you want to add text to your map, click on the “Text” tool and start typing away. You can change the font, color, and size of your text using the options on the right-hand side.

When you’re happy with your map, click on the “Download” button in the top-right corner and choose whether you want to download it as an image or PDF. And that’s it! Making a map in Canva is incredibly easy and only takes a few minutes.

PRO TIP: If you are not familiar with Canva, we strongly recommend that you take some time to familiarize yourself with the platform before attempting to create a map. While Canva is fairly user-friendly, there are a lot of features and options that can be overwhelming for first-time users. Additionally, map-making can be a complex process, and there are a lot of small details that need to be considered in order to create an accurate and visually appealing map.

Now that you know how to make a map in Canva, why not try it out for yourself? Canva is a great way to create professional-looking maps without spending hours (or money) doing so.
