Last updated on September 23, 2022 @ 10:48 pm

A spherical panorama is an image that covers 360 degrees of horizontal field of view, as well as 180 degrees of vertical field of view. They can be created using specialised panoramic cameras, or they can be stitched together from a number of regular photographs.

In Photoshop, you can create a 360-degree panorama from a series of images by using the Photomerge command.

To make a spherical panorama in Photoshop, you will need at least two images that overlap by about 30%. The more images you have, the higher the quality of your final panorama will be. You should also try to use images that were taken with a wide-angle lens, as this will give you a wider field of view and make it easier to overlap the images.

Once you have your images, open them in Photoshop and select File > Automate > Photomerge. In the Photomerge dialog box, select the Use Auto Layout option and then select the images that you want to use in your panorama. Click OK to start the stitching process.

PRO TIP: This article contains instructions on how to make a spherical panorama in Photoshop. However, readers should be warned that this process is extremely complex and time-consuming. It is not recommended for beginners.

Photoshop will now attempt to automatically stitch your images together. If it is successful, you will see a preview of your panorama in the workspace.

If not, you may need to manually align the images yourself. To do this, select the Move tool and then click and drag on the image until it is aligned with the others.

Once your images are aligned, click on the Stitch button in the Photomerge dialog box. Photoshop will now create your spherical panorama.

To view your panorama, select View > Spherical Panorama > Spherical Viewer. You can now click and drag on the image to move around and explore your 360-degree view.

Creating spherical panoramas in Photoshop is a quick and easy way to create immersive experiences for your viewers.
