How Do You Prototype Chatbot in Figma?

Last updated on September 29, 2022 @ 12:41 am

When you are ready to prototype your chatbot in Figma, there are a few things to keep in mind. First, you’ll need to create a frame for your chatbot. This can be done by selecting the ‘Create new frame’ option from the File menu.

Once you have a frame, you can start adding content to it. To add a message to your chatbot, simply select the ‘Add component’ option from the Insert menu and then choose the ‘Message’ component.

When adding messages, you’ll need to specify who the message is from. You can do this by setting the ‘From’ property in the Message component’s properties panel.

Once you have added all of the messages you want, you can preview your chatbot by selecting the ‘Preview’ option from the File menu. This will open up a new window where you can test out your chatbot’s conversation flow.

If you’re happy with how your chatbot looks and works, you can then export it as an image or PDF by selecting the ‘Export’ option from the File menu.

PRO TIP: This article contains outdated information about Figma’s chatbot prototyping capabilities. As of April 2019, Figma does not support chatbot prototyping.
