There are two ways to relink components in Figma. The first way is to use the “Relink” option in the context menu. The second way is to use the “Edit Links” option in the Inspector panel.

To use the “Relink” option, first select the component that you want to relink. Then, right-click on the component and select “Relink” from the context menu.

In the “Relink Component” dialog, select the new component that you want to link to. Finally, click the “Relink” button.

To use the “Edit Links” option, first select the component that you want to relink. Then, click on the “Edit Links” button in the Inspector panel.

In the “Edit Links” dialog, select the new component that you want to link to. Finally, click the “Update” button.

Both of these methods will update all instances of the component that are linked to the original component. So if you have multiple instances of a component that are all linked to the same original component, then updating the link will update all of those instances.

PRO TIP: This article discusses how to relink components in Figma. It is important to note that when relinking components, you must ensure that the new link is pointing to the same file type as the original link.
