When you are working with images in Adobe Photoshop, you may find yourself needing to resize or select an image. Here are some tips on how to do both:

To Resize an Image:

  1. Open the image in Photoshop that you want to resize.
  2. Go to ‘Image’ in the top toolbar and then select ‘Image Size. ‘
  3. A new window will pop up. In this window, you can change the width and height of your image.
  4. Make sure the little chain icon is linked, so both the width and height change together, then enter in your desired dimensions.
  5. Once you have entered in your desired dimensions, click ‘OK. ‘

To Select an Image:

There are many ways to select an image in Photoshop, but here is one way to do it:

  1. Open the image in Photoshop that you want to select.
  2. Go to the ‘Select’ tool, which is located in the left toolbar.
  3. Once you have selected the ‘Select’ tool, click on the area of the image that you want to select.
  4. You will know that you have successfully selected an area when you see marching ants around the edge of your selection.

There are many other ways to resize and select images in Adobe Photoshop – these are just two methods! Experiment with different tools and techniques to find what works best for you and your project.

PRO TIP: When working with images in Photoshop, it is important to be aware of the various ways to resize and select an image. Depending on the desired outcome, different methods may be better suited. For example, if you need to increase the size of an image without losing quality, using the “Image Size” dialog box is the best option. However, if you simply need to change the dimensions of an image, using the “Canvas Size” dialog box may be a better choice. With both dialog boxes, it is important to make sure the “Constrain Proportions” and “Resample Image” options are selected.
