How Do You Set a Minimum Order Quantity in Squarespace?

Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 3:47 am

When creating a new product in Squarespace, you have the option to set a minimum order quantity (MOQ). This is the minimum number of units that must be ordered for the product to be produced. You can set the MOQ for a product by going to the “Inventory” tab of the product editor and selecting “Minimum Order Quantity” from the “Stock Options” drop-down menu.

There are a few things to consider when setting your MOQ:

PRO TIP: If you are setting a minimum order quantity in Squarespace, be aware that there is no way to set a minimum order quantity for individual products. This means that if a customer adds multiple items to their cart, the minimum order quantity will be applied to the entire order, and not to each individual product.

– The production costs of your product. Make sure that your MOQ is high enough to cover the cost of producing your product. – The demand for your product.

If you have a high demand for your product, you may want to set a lower MOQ so that you can meet this demand. – The lead time for your product. If it takes a long time to produce your product, you will need to set a higher MOQ so that you have enough inventory on hand to meet customer demand.

You can adjust your MOQ at any time, so start with a conservative estimate and then adjust as needed based on customer demand and production costs.
