How Do You Slice an Image in Photoshop?

Last updated on September 24, 2022 @ 11:28 am

There are a few different ways that you can slice an image in Photoshop. You can use the Crop Tool, the Slice Tool, or the Rectangle Tool.

The Crop Tool is the easiest way to crop an image. Simply select the area that you want to crop, and then click on the “Crop” button in the toolbar.

The Slice Tool is a bit more complex, but it gives you more control over your cropping. To use the Slice Tool, first select it from the toolbar.

PRO TIP: When slicing an image in Photoshop, be sure to use the ‘Slice Tool’ (located in the ‘Tools’ palette) and not the ‘Crop Tool’. Using the Crop Tool will permanently cut out part of your image!

Then, click and drag to create a rectangle around the area that you want to crop. You can then use the handles on the sides of the rectangle to adjust the size of your crop.

The Rectangle Tool is the most versatile way to crop an image. With this tool, you can create a rectangle of any size and shape.

To use the Rectangle Tool, simply select it from the toolbar and then click and drag to create a rectangle. You can then use the handles on the sides of the rectangle to adjust the size and shape of your crop.
