How Do You Use an Artboard in Figma?

An artboard is a rectangular frame on which you can place and arrange graphical elements to design a user interface. In Figma, artboards help you lay out your designs for different screen sizes and orientations. You can also use artboards to create different versions of a design, or to organize your work into sections.

To create an artboard, click the “+” icon in the left sidebar and select “Artboard” from the menu. You will be prompted to choose a name and size for your artboard. Once you have created an artboard, you can drag and drop elements from the left sidebar onto your artboard.

PRO TIP: If you are not familiar with Figma, we recommend that you do not attempt to use an Artboard in Figma. Artboards can be very complex and difficult to use, even for experienced Figma users. If you are new to Figma, we recommend that you start with something simpler, such as a Frame.

You can resize an artboard by clicking and dragging on its edges. To move an artboard, click and drag on its title bar. To delete an artboard, click the “x” icon in its top-right corner.

Artboards are a great way to organize your work in Figma. You can use them to create different versions of a design, or to section off areas of your design for different screen sizes or orientations. By using artboards, you can make sure that your designs are easy to navigate and understand.
