Last updated on September 28, 2022 @ 9:09 pm

Clay mockups are an essential tool for any Figma user. They allow you to quickly and easily create realistic 3D models of your designs, which can be used for presentations, prototyping, or simply to get a better sense of how your design will look in the real world.

Creating a clay mockup in Figma is easy. Simply select the “Create Mockup” button from the left sidebar, and then choose the “Clay” option from the drop-down menu.

You’ll then be able to choose the size and shape of your mockup, as well as the color and material. Once you’re happy with your selection, click the “Create” button and your clay mockup will be generated.

PRO TIP: If you are not familiar with Figma, we recommend that you do not attempt to use clay mockups in Figma. Clay mockups can be difficult to work with and can easily break if you are not careful. If you are unsure about how to use clay mockups, please consult with a professional before attempting to use them in Figma.

You can then use your clay mockup in a variety of ways. If you’re presenting your design to clients or stakeholders, you can use it as a physical representation of your work.

If you’re prototyping, you can use it to test out how your design works in the real world. And if you just want to get a better sense of how your design looks, you can use it to visualize your work in 3D.

Clay mockups are a powerful tool that every Figma user should take advantage of. With just a few clicks, you can create realistic 3D models of your designs that can be used for presentations, prototyping, or simply to get a better understanding of how your work will look in the real world.
