How Do You Use Elements in Canva?

Elements are the building blocks of any design. In Canva, they’re the shapes, lines, illustrations and icons that you can add to your design to give it some pizzazz. Elements can be found in the editor on the left hand side under the ‘Elements’ tab.

How to Use Elements in Canva

To use an element in your design, simply click on it and drag it into your design space. You can then resize and rotate it to fit your needs.

To change the color of an element, click on the element and then click on the ‘Fill’ icon in the toolbar above your design. From here, you can select a color or gradient.

You can also add effects to elements by clicking on the element and then clicking on the ‘Effects’ icon in the toolbar above your design. From here, you can select from a range of pre-set effects or create your own custom effect by selecting a combination of different options.

Elements are a great way to add some personality to your designs. So have fun experimenting with different combinations of elements until you find something that you like!
