If you’re considering making the switch from Wix to Squarespace, you may be wondering how long the process will take. The good news is, it’s relatively quick and easy to transfer your domain from Wix to Squarespace.

The first step is to log in to your Wix account and go to the ‘Domains’ tab. From there, you will need to select the domain that you want to transfer and click on the ‘Transfer Domain’ button.

Once you’ve clicked on the ‘Transfer Domain’ button, you will be taken to a page where you will need to enter some information about the transfer. First, you will need to enter the ‘Auth Code’ for your domain.

This can be found in your Wix account under the ‘Domains’ tab. Once you have entered the Auth Code, click on the ‘Continue’ button.

PRO TIP: If you are considering transferring your domain from Wix to Squarespace, be aware that it may take up to 72 hours for the transfer to complete. During this time, your website may be inaccessible.

On the next page, you will need to enter your contact information. Once you have entered your contact information, click on the ‘Continue’ button.

On the next page, you will see a summary of the transfer process. Review the information and click on the ‘Start Transfer’ button.

After clicking on the ‘Start Transfer’ button, your domain will begin transferring to Squarespace. The entire process usually takes about 5-7 days for most domains.
