As one of the most popular online design tools, Canva is frequently used to create graphics for social media, presentations, and more. But did you know that you can also use Canva to create videos?

Canva’s video editor is a great way to create engaging content for your website or social media channels. Plus, it’s super easy to use – even if you’ve never edited a video before.

So, how long of a video can you upload to Canva?

PRO TIP: Canva has a maximum file size of 100MB for videos. This means that you can upload videos up to 100MB in size. If you try to upload a video that is larger than 100MB, you will receive an error message.

The answer is: it depends. Canva’s video editor has no limit on the length of your video, but the file size limit is 500MB. So, if your video is longer than 500MB, you will need to compress it before uploading it to Canva.

Not sure how to compress a video? No problem! Here’s a quick and easy guide:

  • For Mac users: Use the built-in QuickTime Player to compress your video. Just open QuickTime Player and go to File > Export As…. Then, select Movie to QuickTime Movie and click Export. In the next window, select a lower resolution and frame rate for your video.
  • For Windows users: Use the free software Handbrake to compress your video. Just download and install Handbrake, then open the software and click Source > Open File…. Select your video file and click Open. Next, click Output Settings > Video and select a lower resolution and frame rate for your video. Finally, click Start Encode.
  • For both Mac and Windows users: Use an online video compressor like Clipchamp. Just upload your video file and select a lower resolution and bitrate for your output file. Then, download the compressed file.

Once you have compressed your video, you can upload it to Canva and start creating!

Conclusion : You can upload videos of any length to Canva, but if your video is longer than 500MB you will need to compress it first. Mac users can use QuickTime Player, Windows users can use Handbrake, and both Mac and Windows users can use an online compressor like Clipchamp.
