Layout grids are a powerful tool that can help you achieve consistent spacing and alignment in your designs. But how many layout grids can you add to a frame in Figma?

The answer is: as many as you need!

Layout grids are particularly useful when you’re working with multiple elements that need to be aligned with each other. By adding multiple layout grids to a frame, you can ensure that all of your elements are perfectly aligned, no matter how complex your design may be.

PRO TIP: Adding too many layout grids to a frame in Figma can result in the frame becoming overloaded and difficult to work with. It is therefore advisable to limit the number of layout grids added to a frame to a maximum of four.

Of course, you don’t necessarily need to use multiple layout grids in every design. Sometimes, one grid will be sufficient. But if you find yourself struggling to achieve the level of alignment you desire, don’t be afraid to experiment with adding more than one layout grid to your frame.
