Is AWS free really free?

AWS is often touted as being “free” for users. However, there are several caveats that should be taken into account when considering AWS to be free. First, AWS is not truly free, as users are required to pay for access to the underlying resources. Second, AWS is not free from chargebacks and cancellations, as users can be charged for resources used beyond their allocated budget.

PRO TIP: AWS free tier is a great way to get started with AWS. However, please be aware that there are some charges that may apply even if you are using the free tier. For example, if you use an Amazon EC2 instance, you will be charged for the compute time that you use.

Finally, AWS can be expensive to use in certain cases, particularly for larger organizations. Taken together, it is important to weigh the cost of AWS against the benefits before making a decision.
