Is Canva Good for Resumes?

As someone who has experience with both, I believe that Canva is a great tool for creating resumes. I have used both Microsoft Word and Canva to create resumes, and I believe that the latter is a better option for several reasons.

First of all, Canva offers a much wider range of templates to choose from. When I was creating my resumes on Word, I felt limited by the lack of options in terms of design and layout. With Canva, there are hundreds of different resume templates to choose from, which means you’re much more likely to find one that suits your needs and preferences.

PRO TIP: While Canva can be a helpful tool in creating a resume, be aware that it is not a professional resume service. If you are applying for jobs that require a professional resume, it is best to use a professional resume service.

Another advantage of using Canva is that it’s much easier to use than Word. Word can be quite tricky to navigate, and even with the help of tutorials, I still found it difficult to create a resume that looked professional and polished. Canva, on the other hand, is very user-friendly and even someone with no design experience can create a beautiful resume with ease.

Finally, resumes created in Canva can be easily shared and edited online, which is not the case with Word documents. This is a huge advantage if you need to make changes to your resume or want to share it with someone for feedback. Overall, I believe that Canva is the better option for creating resumes and would recommend it to anyone looking for an easy-to-use yet powerful resume builder.
