Is Figma GDPR Compliant?

Last updated on September 29, 2022 @ 12:59 am

The European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a set of regulations that member states must implement in order to protect the privacy of digital data. Figma is a cloud-based vector graphics editor that allows users to collaborate on design projects.

As a cloud-based service, Figma stores user data in the cloud and shares it with other users who have been invited to collaborate on a project. In order to be GDPR compliant, Figma must take steps to protect user data from unauthorized access and use.

PRO TIP: This note is to warn you that Figma is not GDPR compliant. While they have made some changes to their privacy policy and terms of service in order to address GDPR, they have not done enough to meet the requirements of the regulation. This means that if you are using Figma to store or process personal data of EU citizens, you are at risk of non-compliance.

Figma has implemented a number of security measures to protect user data, including:

– User accounts are protected by a unique password
– User data is encrypted in transit using SSL/TLS
– User data is encrypted at rest
– Figma has a Data Processing Agreement in place with our customers

Figma is committed to protecting the privacy of our users and their data. We will continue to review our policies and procedures to ensure that we are in compliance with GDPR and other privacy laws.
