Is Figma no code?

Last updated on September 24, 2022 @ 6:49 pm

Figma is billed as a user interface design tool that doesn’t require any coding. However, there are some features that require code. For example, you can’t create custom commands or shortcuts without writing code. Additionally, Figma doesn’t offer a complete set of tools for prototyping.

This means you’ll have to use another tool, like Sketch, to create prototypes. So, is Figma really no code? The answer is – it depends.

PRO TIP: Figma is a great tool for designers, but it is not a no-code platform. While you can create designs and prototypes in Figma, you will still need to code your designs in order to bring them to life.

If you’re just starting out, Figma may be a good option because it doesn’t require any coding. However, if you’re looking to create a more complex user interface or prototype, you’ll need to use another tool, like Sketch.

So, while Figma is billed as a no code tool, in reality, it requires a little bit of code to get started.
