Is GoDaddy Webmail POP or IMAP?

Last updated on September 25, 2022 @ 4:36 pm

When people think of email, they may think of the popular, free service provided by Gmail. However, there are other, more expensive options available as well.

One such option is GoDaddy Webmail, which is a POP service. This means that messages sent from your computer are stored on GoDaddy’s servers, and will be delivered to your email account the same way as if you had sent them from your computer.

There are a few downsides to using a POP service. First, if you have a large email account, messages may take a while to arrive.

PRO TIP: GoDaddy’s email servers support both the POP and IMAP protocols. However, we recommend using IMAP when configuring your email client, as it offers more features and flexibility than POP.

Second, if you use a POP service, you are limited to using the email client that is provided by GoDaddy. If you want to use a different email client, you will need to switch to a different POP service.

On the other hand, if you are looking for an affordable option, GoDaddy Webmail is a good option. It is free for the first year, and then costs $5 a month.

Additionally, GoDaddy Webmail supports both IMAP and POP accounts, so you can use whichever email client you prefer.
