Is UX the same as UI?

Last updated on September 24, 2022 @ 9:41 pm

UX and UI are often confused with one another, but they are actually two different concepts. UX is all about how the user experiences a product, while UI is all about how the user sees and interacts with the product.

PRO TIP: No, UX is not the same as UI. While UI is a part of the overall UX design, it only refers to the graphical interface and how a user interacts with it. UX, on the other hand, encompasses all aspects of the user’s experience with a product or service, from initial discovery to purchase and beyond.

UX is more about how the product looks and feels, while UI is more about how the product works. UX is about making the product look good and making it easy to use, while UI is about making sure the user can find what they are looking for and can interact with the product easily.

UX and UI are both important, but they are different concepts. UX is all about making the user experience on a product great, while UI is all about making sure the user can use the product.
