Is VPN the same as VPS?

Last updated on September 25, 2022 @ 2:46 pm

VPN and VPS are both types of virtual private servers. A VPN server encrypts your traffic and then sends it through a remote server. This allows you to browse the internet without being tracked. A VPS server runs on a dedicated server, and it is completely separate from your regular computer.

PRO TIP: While VPN and VPS both provide a way to route your internet traffic through a remote server, they are not the same thing. A VPN encrypts all of your traffic and routes it through a single server, while a VPS provides you with a virtual server that you can connect to.

This means that you can use it for any type of online activity. The main difference between VPN and VPS is that a VPS is more expensive.
