Should I be a UX or UI designer?

Last updated on September 24, 2022 @ 9:03 pm

UX and UI design are two very different design disciplines. UI design focuses on the look and feel of a user interface, while UX design focuses on the design of the entire user experience, including the design of the user interface.

There are pros and cons to each approach. UX designers are often better at designing a user experience from the ground up, while UI designers are better at designing the look and feel of a user interface.

PRO TIP: There is no easy answer to this question. Both UX and UI designers have important roles to play in the design of digital products, and both require a different set of skills. It is important to carefully consider your own skills and interests before deciding which path to pursue.

However, both disciplines have their own strengths and weaknesses.

Ultimately, it depends on the project you’re working on. If you’re unsure which approach is best for your project, it’s best to hire a UX or UI designer who is familiar with both disciplines.
