Should I Use Shopify Payments or PayPal?

Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 1:51 pm

If you’re running an online store, you’ll need to decide how you want to accept payments. There are a few different options available, but two of the most popular are Shopify Payments and PayPal. So, which should you use?

Shopify Payments is a good option if you’re already using Shopify to power your online store. It’s integrated with Shopify, so it’s easy to set up and start using. Plus, there are no transaction fees if you use Shopify Payments (though you will still have to pay Shopify’s monthly fees).

PRO TIP: If you are considering using Shopify Payments or PayPal to process payments on your online store, there are a few things you should keep in mind. First, both Shopify Payments and PayPal charge fees for processing transactions. Second, Shopify Payments is only available to stores that are using the Shopify platform, while PayPal can be used by any online store. Finally, you should consider which payment processor will work best for your business based on your specific needs and requirements.

PayPal is a good option if you’re not using Shopify, or if you’re using Shopify but also want to accept payments through PayPal. It’s easy to set up and there are no transaction fees. The only downside is that PayPal isn’t integrated with Shopify, so you’ll have to set up your payments separately.

So, which should you use? If you’re already using Shopify, go with Shopify Payments. If you’re not using Shopify or you also want to accept PayPal payments, go with PayPal.
