The seven selection tools in Photoshop are the Rectangular Marquee Tool, the Elliptical Marquee Tool, the Lasso Tool, the Polygonal Lasso Tool, the Magnetic Lasso Tool, the Quick Selection Tool, and the Magic Wand Tool.
The Rectangular Marquee Tool is used to make a rectangular selection within your image. To use this tool, simply click and drag your mouse to create a rectangular selection area. This tool can be used to select an entire object or element within your image.
The Elliptical Marquee Tool is used to make an elliptical or circular selection within your image. To use this tool, click and drag your mouse to create an elliptical selection area.
The Lasso Tool is used to make a freeform selection within your image. To use this tool, click and drag your mouse around the area you want to select.
This tool can be used to select an entire object or element within your image.
The Polygonal Lasso Tool is used to make a polygonal selection within your image. To use this tool, click around the perimeter of the area you want to select.
The Magnetic Lasso Tool is used to make aselection based on pixels within your image.
Quick Selection Tool
The Quick Selection Tool is used to make a selection based on color and edges within your image. To use this tool, simply click and drag your mouse over the area you want to select.
Magic Wand Tool
The Magic Wand Tool is used to make a selection based on color similarity within your image. To use this tool, simply click on an area of similar color that you want to select.
