Fiverr is a global online marketplace offering tasks and services, referred to as ‘gigs’, starting at a cost of $5. The site is primarily used by freelancers who use it to offer services to customers worldwide.

Fiverr was founded in 2010 by Shai Wininger and Micha Kaufman, and is headquartered in Tel Aviv, Israel. The company also has offices in New York City, San Francisco, London, and Derry, Northern Ireland.

As of 2018, Fiverr had more than 3 million users and about 60 million gig offers.

What Are the Rules on Fiverr?

There are a few rules that all Fiverr users must follow in order to maintain a safe and positive experience for everyone involved. These rules include:

1. No Inappropriate Content or Links – All content uploaded to Fiverr must be appropriate for a general audience.

This means no nudity, violence, or other offensive material. Additionally, links shared on Fiverr must not lead to inappropriate content or malware.

2. No Spamming – Users must not spam other members with unwanted messages or invitations. This also includes posting the same message multiple times in different places or flooding the site with useless content (known as ‘fluff’).

3. No Phishing – Users must not attempt to acquire sensitive information from other members through false or misleading means. This includes pretending to be someone else in order to gain access to their account or personal information.

4. No Escrow Fraud – Users must not attempt to defraud buyers by asking for payment outside of Fiverr’s escrow system. This is against Fiverr’s terms of service and can result in account suspension or termination.

5. No Manipulation of Reviews or Ratings – Users must not attempt to manipulate reviews or ratings by offering incentives for positive reviews or paying for fake reviews/ratings.

PRO TIP: Fiverr is a great platform for freelancers to connect with potential clients, but it’s important to be aware of the site’s rules before getting started. First and foremost, all services advertised on Fiverr must be legal. Additionally, sellers are not allowed to offer services that are sexually explicit or involve violence. Finally, buyers and sellers are expected to communicate respectfully with one another – any abusive behavior is not tolerated.

By following these simple rules, users can ensure that they have a positive and safe experience on Fiverr.
