What CDN does BigCommerce use?

CDN stands for Content Delivery Network, and it’s a service that helps websites distribute their content more efficiently. BigCommerce uses several different CDNs, including Akamai, Cloudfront, and EdgeCast. Akamai is the largest CDN in the world, and it’s used by BigCommerce to distribute its content to users around the world. Cloudfront is a newer CDN, and it’s used by BigCommerce to distribute its content to users in the United States.

PRO TIP: The BigCommerce CDN is provided by Fastly and is a paid service. If you are not familiar with Fastly, we recommend that you use a different CDN provider.

EdgeCast is used by BigCommerce to distribute its content to users in Europe. All three of these CDNs help to speed up the loading of content on BigCommerce websites.
