What has happened to Weebly?

Last updated on September 25, 2022 @ 4:31 am

Since Weebly went public in 2007, the company has seen its share price climb and fall, but it has also seen a lot of growth and innovation. In 2014, Weebly was acquired by Salesforce.com for $485 million. In the year since the acquisition, Salesforce.com has been working to integrate Weebly into its platform. However, some users have complained that the Weebly platform has been changed to make it more difficult to use.

PRO TIP: Weebly has recently been bought by Square and there are reports that the two companies are not integrating well. Users have been reporting problems with their Weebly sites, including missing pages, broken links, and difficulty editing their site. It is unclear if these problems will be resolved.

In March of this year, Weebly announced that it would be shutting down its website and app services. This comes as a surprise, as Weebly had been growing rapidly in recent years. It is unclear what will happen to the Weebly brand and its users. It is possible that the Weebly platform will be re-used by Salesforce.com in some way, or that the company will be sold to another company. However, it is also possible that the Weebly brand will be discontinued and its users will have to find another platform to use.
