What Is a Pre Footer in Squarespace?

A pre-footer is an optional area that appears above the footer on your site. You can use it to display additional information, like contact details or social media links.

To add a pre-footer, go to Settings > Website > Navigation. Under Pre-Footer Links, click Add Link. Enter the link text and URL, then click Add.

Repeat this process for each link you want to add.

You can style the pre-footer using the Text block. To learn more, visit our Text Block reference guide.

PRO TIP: Pre-footers are optional sections that appear above the footer on a Squarespace site. They can be used to display important information, such as contact details or links to social media profiles.

While pre-footers can be useful, they can also make a site look cluttered and confused. If you are considering adding a pre-footer to your Squarespace site, make sure that it is absolutely necessary and that it will not make your site look too busy.
