Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) is an identity management service from Microsoft. Azure AD enables organizations to manage identities for users, groUPS, and devices within their cloud-based applications. Azure AD can be used to identity users for cloud-based applications, such as Office 365, Dynamics 365, and Azure Marketplace. Azure AD also enables organizations to manage single sign-on (SSO) for their cloud-based applications.

PRO TIP: Azure Active Directory is used for identity and access management in Microsoft Azure. It provides a single sign-on (SSO) experience for users to access Azure resources, such as Virtual Machines (VMs), websites, and third-party applications. Azure AD also provides security features, such as multi-factor authentication (MFA) and passwordless authentication, to help protect your resources.

Azure AD can be used for authentication and authorization for cloud-based applications. Azure AD also provides secure access to corporate resources for users who are not on the company’s intranet.
