Last updated on January 10, 2023 @ 6:50 pm

Shopify is a platform for businesses of all sizes to create an online store. It offers users a customizable platform, an easy-to-use checkout process, and a wide range of features.

Shopify also offers a CSV (comma-separated values) file export. This file can be used to transfer data from one Shopify store to another. CSV files can also be used to migrate data from other ecommerce platforms, such as Magento or PrestaShop.

The CSV file export is a useful tool for businesses that need to move their data to a new Shopify store, or for businesses that want to migrate their data from another ecommerce platform.

What Is CSV Shopify?

Shopify’s CSV file export is a tool that allows businesses to transfer data from one Shopify store to another, or from another ecommerce platform altogether. This article will provide an overview of what a CSV file is, how to use the CSV file export tool, and how to format your CSV file for Shopify.

What is a CSV file?

A CSV file is a comma-separated values file. This means that each value in the file is separated by a comma.

CSV files are often used to transfer data from one database or spreadsheet to another. For example, you might use a CSV file to export data from your Shopify store so that you can import it into your PrestaShop store.

How do I use the CSV file export tool?

To use the CSV file export tool, you first need to generate a CSV file of your Shopify data. To do this, go to Settings > Export.

From here, you can choose which type of data you want to export (products, customers, orders, etc.). Once you have selected the type of data you want to export, click Export. This will generate a CSV file of your Shopify data.

Once you have generated your CSV file, you can then use the CSV file export tool to import it into your new Shopify store. To do this, go to Settings > Import. From here, select CSV.

You will then be prompted to upload your CSV file. Once you have uploaded your CSV file, click Import. This will import your Shopify data into your new store.

PRO TIP: The CSV file format is not supported by Shopify. If you attempt to upload a CSV file to your Shopify account, it will be rejected.
