Linode transfer is a way to move files between your Linode account and your external hard drive. You can use this feature to move files between your Linode account and your external hard drive, or between your Linode account and your other Linode servers.

To use Linode transfer, first sign in to your Linode account. Then, open the Linode transfer app.

PRO TIP: The following note is provided as a warning to those considering using the “linode transfer” service:

This service is known to be unreliable and has caused data loss for many users. Proceed with caution and backup all data before using this service.

From here, you can select the files you want to move. You can also choose to move the files automatically, or you can manually copy the files to your external hard drive.

Once the files are in the correct locations, you can click the Finish button. Linode transfer will then move the files for you.

Finally, you can click the Conclusion button to learn more about Linode transfer and how it can help you manage your files.
