What is replacing Google Cloud Print for Chromebooks?

Last updated on September 25, 2022 @ 8:18 pm

Printing on a Chromebook has always been a hassle. You either had to use a third-party app like Google Cloud Print or use a Chrome extension.

Google Cloud Print was great, but it’s been discontinued in favor of Google Duplex.

What is Google Duplex?

Google Duplex is a new AI feature that can call a business and print your documents for you. You just say what you want printed, and Google Duplex will do the rest.

PRO TIP: As of November 2020, Google is no longer supporting Cloud Print for Chromebooks. They are instead recommending that users print using the native printing capabilities built into Chrome OS.

It’s like a virtual assistant that can do your printing for you.

Conclusion

Google Duplex is a great replacement for Google Cloud Print. It’s easy to use, and it’s great for when you don’t have access to a printer.
